How to enter

Step One:
Make sure you have read and agree to the terms and conditions below. By participating in the contest, you will be considered to have read and agreed to those terms and conditions.

Step Two:
Record a video of you telling us why you should be the next PES STAR.
Video/Photo submissions should —

  • Be all your own work;
  • Be no more than 30 seconds long;
  • Not contain any material in which the copyright may be owned by someone else (for example, music, TV, film, artwork, logos, photographs, etc.) and which you have not obtained permission to use; and
  • Not contain any offensive indecent or obscene content.

If someone else has filmed you (even if they just held the camera), make sure you have obtained their prior permission to use the video before uploading the video to konami-pes2010.com.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions the capitalised words and expressions in the left hand column below shall have the meaning written in the right hand column.

Contest - The PES STAR video clip/Photo competition run by Konami Digital Entertainment Europe GmbH;
Contest - Website www. konami-pes2010.com;
Konami - Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH and its agents and subcontractors engaged in the running of the Contest and the Contest Website;
Terms and Conditions - These Terms and Conditions including the rules set out in the How to Enter section above.

Eligibility
The Contest is open to all residents of the United Kingdom & Ireland except:

  • Persons under the age of 18 years at the time they submit their video/photo; and
  • Employees of Konami

The Contest is subject to all local laws and regulations.

You agree to abide by all decisions of Konami which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Contest.

Restrictions on Video Entries
Videos or any other material or information submitted may not:

  • Be no more than 30 seconds long;
  • Have been previously broadcast or posted on any other website;
  • Contain any material in which the copyright may be owned by someone else (for example, music, TV, film, artwork, logos, photographs, etc.) and which you have not obtained permission to use; and
  • Contain any offensive, indecent or obscene content, including any nudity, lewd or vulgar behaviour; offensive language and/or gestures; reference to sex, drugs, or violence.

Any video submitted which Konami considers in its absolute discretion to breach these provisions or any other part of these Terms and Conditions will be disqualified from the Contest.
You represent and warrant to Konami that the videos which you submit will comply with the above provisions
By entering the Contest, you grant the Konami the right to:

  • contact you regarding your entry;
  • publicise your entry;
  • promote your entry for any other purpose related to the Contest; and
  • broadcast your entry.

You agree to indemnify and hold Konami and its employees and agents harmless from any claim or demand, made by any third party due to or arising out of the content of the video or any breach of any representation of warranty made by you in these Terms and Conditions

Period of the Contest, Review Process and Prizes
For the purpose of this part of the Terms and Conditions a “week” and “weekly” refer to periods of approximately seven days not necessarily running from any particular day of the week.

  • The planned dates of the Contest are 1th till 22nd July 2009 and you must be available for the final auditions on 24th July in Central London, however these dates are subject to change without notice.
  • Videos will be reviewed on a daily basis during the period of the Contest.
  • All videos submitted will be reviewed on suitability and merit and a selection of the best submitted during the previous week chosen by a judging panel comprising of one or more members of staff at Konami
  • In making their selection the judges may consider originality and inventiveness, skill, artistic effort, and other similar considerations.
  • Those videos/photos which are selected will be made available on the Contest Website and other users of the Contest Website will be able to view all selected videos/photos.
  • After we chose our Top 30 contestants, winners notified by e-mail as soon as practicable afterwards.

There are no prizes for second or third place or otherwise.
Grant of Rights in Videos/Photos Submitted
Submission of a video/photo constitutes the grant by you to Konami of an irrevocable non-exclusive right and licence of all rights in the video, including all rights to use, copy, sublicense, edit, modify, make derivative works, publish, transmit, distribute, publicly perform, publish, delete or display the content of and elements embodied in the video and the video itself, in whole or in part, in perpetuity in any and all media (whether now existing or hereafter devised) without limitation, and without consideration or acknowledgment to you and the unconditional right to use the same for advertising/publicity purposes without additional compensation.

Use of Winner's’ Names and Likenesses
By accepting any prize you agree to

  • make yourself available for promotional activities as determined by Konami subject to payment of your reasonable out of pocket expenses; and
  • grant to Konami the right, at any time and from time to time, to print, publish, broadcast and use, worldwide and in any media now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to, the Internet and world wide web, your name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness and biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration, except where prohibited by law.

Disqualification
Konami reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any participant that it determines, in its sole discretion, is ineligible to participate in the Contest. Failure to comply with these rules may result in your disqualification.
